The EGIS Lab meets the computing requirements of the students with two main servers - Orca and Nile. The Nile server runs Windows 2008 and acts as a file and login server for the classes. The Orca server provides web hosting for student web sites and projects.  The Dell workstations have the current versions of the commonly used Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing software installed. The lab also has two HP Laser Printers (one of them color) to print the maps and other works produced by GIS and remote sensing students.
